A shooting took place minutes ago at the Allenby Crossing.

According to initial reports by ZAKA, two attackers were neutralized.

Two men (one aged 20, one aged 60) were seriously wounded, with MDA reporting that the victims were in critical condition. They were unconscious, with medical teams trying to revive them.

A helicopter was dispatched to evacuate the wounded. Tragically, both of them passed away.

Many Israeli forces are deployed in the area, including reserve troops from the Duvdevan unit, the Jordan Valley rapid response unit (YATAM), and soldiers from the 47th Battalion.

According to an initial report by military and security correspondent Doron Kadosh, the terrorist who carried out the attack at the Allenby Crossing arrived from the Jordanian side of the crossing driving a truck intended for carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, similar to the dozens of trucks that pass through the crossing every day.

Immediately after entering the cargo terminal on the Israeli side, he got out of the truck and began the attack. He started by firing at the people at the location, before reaching the inspection area, and then also stabbed them, critically wounding them.

Only then did a security guard from the Allenby Crossing arrive and neutralize the terrorist.

Kadosh noted that exactly one year ago, in September 2024, a Jordanian truck driver carried out a shooting attack at the same crossing, killing three Israeli employees.

Channel 12’s Amit Segal quotes an Israeli source saying humanitarian aid trucks entering through the crossing are not inspected due to an agreement with Jordan.

Veteran journalist Roi Kais reports:

Jordan’s General Intelligence Directorate told Qatar’s Al-Araby TV that the shooting attack at the Allenby Crossing was “carried out outside Jordan’s borders.” The officials added that Jordan has not yet closed the crossing from its side.
