Poll: Right Wing Voters Overwhelmingly Back Sovereignty in Judea and Samaria
According to the survey, conducted by Direct Polls for the Sovereignty Movement, 59% of Jewish Israelis support applying full or gradual sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.

A new poll published ahead of the Sovereignty Movement’s Jerusalem conference shows broad support among national camp voters for applying Israeli sovereignty in Judea and Samaria, either fully or gradually.
According to the survey, conducted by Direct Polls for the Sovereignty Movement, 59% of Jewish Israelis support applying full or gradual sovereignty in Judea and Samaria.
Support is especially high among voters of coalition parties. Among Shas voters, 90% said they support applying sovereignty, including 85% who support full sovereignty. Among Religious Zionism and Otzma Yehudit voters, 87% support sovereignty, with 76% backing full sovereignty. Likud voters showed similar levels of support, with 87% in favor of applying sovereignty.
The Sovereignty Movement said the findings show that the national camp is no longer satisfied with managing the current reality in Judea and Samaria, and wants a clear political decision anchoring the region as an inseparable part of the State of Israel.
The group is calling on the government to advance the move before the upcoming elections, arguing that the strong support among coalition voters gives the government a clear mandate.
The poll also found support among parts of the opposition. Among Yisrael Beiteinu voters from the last election, 49% said they support full or gradual sovereignty, while 46% of Blue and White voters said the same.
Support was also especially strong among traditional Jewish Israelis, with 82% backing sovereignty, including 67% who support full sovereignty.
Yehudit Katsover and Nadia Matar, heads of the Sovereignty Movement, said the results point to a major shift in Israeli public opinion since the outbreak of the war.
“The survey results prove that an overwhelming majority of the national camp supports full sovereignty in Judea and Samaria,” they said. “The public expects the Israeli government to complete this historic move as soon as possible and to seize the current window of opportunity in order to apply sovereignty even before the upcoming elections.”
The poll was conducted on June 1, 2026, by Direct Polls, headed by Tzuriel Sharon, among 489 Jewish Israeli respondents aged 18 and over. The margin of error is 4.4%.
