Heat Wave Expected Across Israel

Above-average temperatures forecast for coming days, with two regions set to experience particularly hot conditions

Heat wave in Israel

Israel is bracing for warmer-than-usual weather in the coming days, with temperatures expected to climb notably across much of the country. Two regions in particular, the mountainous areas and inland zones, will experience the most significant heat, according to forecasts.

Monday will see a slight temperature increase, bringing conditions warmer than seasonal norms to the hills and interior regions, while coastal areas will remain more moderate. Tuesday through Thursday will continue the pattern, with above-average heat persisting in the mountains and inland areas, and milder conditions along the Mediterranean coast.

Across major urban centers, temperatures throughout the week will vary depending on geography.

Coastal hubs like Tel Aviv and Haifa will experience daytime highs hovering between 31°C and 33°C (88°F–91°F) alongside typical late-summer humidity.

In the mountainous interior, Jerusalem is expected to reach daily peaks between 31°C and 33°C (88°F–92°F) under clear skies.

Inland and southern regions will bear the brunt of the heat, with Beersheba climbing to 34°C (93°F), Tiberias approaching 33°C–35°C (91°F–95°F), and Eilat expecting intense heat reaching up to 39°C (102°F)

The warm spell is expected to continue through the end of the week. Thursday will maintain the same weather pattern, with elevated temperatures in mountainous and inland regions and more comfortable conditions at the coast. Friday's forecast shows no significant change from the preceding days.

The Israel Meteorological Service has not indicated when temperatures are expected to return to seasonal averages.
