Likud MK Tally Gotliv of Likud said Tuesday in an interview with Roni Kuban and Akiva Novick that she wishes to remain in Likud at position number 12 on the party's electoral list, but made clear she would give serious consideration to a concrete proposal from Otzma Yehudit, the far-right party led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
"I want to be at position 12, period. Let them give me position 12, excellent. If they come up with inventions, then I'll understand from that not only that they're pushing me out of Likud but doing everything possible so I won't repeat my messages," she stated.
She explained that "to the extent I receive an offer from a party I very much appreciate, a concrete offer that reflects appreciation for the electoral power I bring with me and for the uncompromising struggle I've waged for four years in the Knesset, I will consider it seriously."
When Novick questioned whether a party member was offering herself to other parties on air, Gotliv responded: "No, that's not what I'm saying, not 'other parties.' I'm not speaking in the plural." Asked if she meant Smotrich or Ben Gvir, she said: "Don't say Smotrich and Ben Gvir in the same breath. In my eyes, they're not the same thing."
During the interview, sources close to Minister Itamar Ben Gvir announced he would be happy to reserve a spot for Gotliv in Otzma Yehudit, on condition she coordinate this with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
She responded: "I would be very happy to receive a good concrete offer from the Otzma Yehudit party, and I emphasize the Otzma Yehudit party. And if there is such an offer, I will consider it seriously."
