The IDF confirmed Thursday that two Hamas terrorists were eliminated in separate strikes conducted over the past two days in Gaza. Muhammad Jamal Ahmad Eid, a Nukhba commander in Hamas's military wing, was eliminated Wednesday in the al-Bureij area, while Salah Ziad Ibrahim Miqdad, a company commander in the terror organization's naval unit, was killed in a strike Tuesday in Gaza City.

According to the IDF, Eid participated in the October 7 massacre, infiltrating Israeli territory during the attack. The military further stated that "in recent times, the terrorists advanced terror operations against IDF forces and Israeli civilians and worked to enhance the training of the organization's operatives and restore its capabilities, while systematically violating the ceasefire. The terrorists were eliminated in order to remove the threat they posed."

The IDF emphasized that "prior to the strikes, measures were taken to minimize harm to civilians, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance. IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed throughout the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat."
