Prime Minister and Likud chairman Benjamin Netanyahu has appointed Mamit Mali Negosa to serve as director of the party's election campaign headquarters for the Ethiopian sector.

Negosa, who holds a bachelor's degree in education, has been active in Likud for nearly a quarter-century, since 1998. Over the years, she has held several positions within the movement, including director of the Likud director-general's office, and for many years coordinated the party's day-to-day activities and relations with members of the Ethiopian community.

Beyond her political work, Negosa is deeply involved in public and social efforts to integrate Ethiopian Israelis into Israeli society, provide assistance to victims of sexual assault, and preserve Ethiopian tradition and heritage.
