The IDF Spokesperson confirmed Sunday that IDF and Shin Bet forces eliminated Hasham Gamal Muhammad Abu Jalala, a Nukhba platoon commander in Hamas's military wing, in a strike carried out last Monday in Khan Yunis. Abu Jalala was among the leaders of the assault on the Kissufim outpost and took part in the abduction of Israelis during the October 7 massacre.
Hamas commander behind Kissufim raid killed
Hasham Gamal Muhammad Abu Jalala, a Nukhba platoon commander in Hamas's military wing, was killed in an airstrike in Khan Yunis last week. He led the assault on the Kissufim outpost and took part in kidnapping Israelis on October 7.

"Throughout the war and in recent times, the terrorist advanced terror operations against IDF forces and Israeli civilians and worked to restore the capabilities of the Hamas terror organization, while systematically violating the ceasefire," the IDF said. "The terrorist was eliminated from the air in order to remove the threat he posed."
The IDF Spokesperson added that "security forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to act to remove any immediate threat."
