Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke Tuesday at the opening of the academic year at the new Tel Hai–Kiryat Shmona University and issued a sharp warning to Iran, pledging to topple its government.
"We changed the picture from one end to the other, with our heroic soldiers, with the fighting that was here. First of all, to push back and crush the Radwan Force. To open the security zone here, which is different from what was before, because it is deep and it is empty. People left, and therefore it is completely different," the prime minister said, exactly one week before the elections.
Netanyahu claimed that "we essentially destroyed all the enormous terror facilities underground and above ground. But we are also committed, I am committed, to complete the mission. To complete the mission means to topple the terror regime in Iran, which is the head of this poisonous octopus. You cut it off, and it will fall. We will also have peace with Lebanon."
"But we must complete the elimination of the Iranian regime, that is the main thing. I spoke about this with President Trump more than once, including the day before yesterday. Because as long as it lives, even if it is beaten, wounded, battered, it is so fanatical that it will try again to do what it did a year ago, and we stopped them: to produce nuclear bombs, to rebuild the axis. And therefore the only way to prevent this thing is to topple this regime, and then the elimination of Hezbollah will also come in parallel," Netanyahu promised.
The prime minister added: "We are doing something historic here. This is a day of blessing, this is a day of good news for Kiryat Shmona, for the Galilee, for the vision that my grandfather saw when he spoke about this place. He said: 'In my mind's eye I see Jewish settlements, settlement of the Galilee, and steadfast standing', and that is what we got here. But today is something special, because this is a turbo engine. It is simply a turbo engine."
"And therefore I very much hope that at Tel Hai Kiryat Shmona University you will expand with all your strength. Make joint programs with the factories, expand knowledge and understanding to the students who will be here, but bring in with force, Mr. Minister of Education, with force artificial intelligence, because we are a wise people, and this is the future. This is already the present. And I am very grateful to you for what you decided, and I thank you also for the continuation of the direction. This is our direction: this is security, this is transportation, this is higher education, this is everything."
