Chareidi Woman, 35, Critically Injured After Being Struck by Bus in Jerusalem

A 35-year-old chareidi woman was critically injured after being struck by a bus on Bar Lev Boulevard in Jerusalem, near the Givat HaTachmoshet light-rail station. The victim was rushed to Hadassah Har HaTzofim Hospital in critical condition.

Emergency crews from Ichud Hatzalah and Magen David Adom were called to the scene following reports of a pedestrian struck by a bus. Responders found the woman trapped beneath the vehicle, suffering from multi-system trauma.

Dr. Shlomo Gensler, a volunteer physician with Ichud Hatzalah, along with medics Yechiel Stern and Refael Levin, reported: "The pedestrian is suffering from multi-system trauma as a result of being struck by the bus. We provided initial medical care at the scene, and she was then evacuated to Hadassah Har HaTzofim Hospital in critical condition."

MDA motorcycle unit medics Stav Iluz and Yanky Grinwald, together with emergency medical technician Eliyahu Shafer, described the scene: "When we arrived, we found the pedestrian trapped under the bus, conscious but suffering from multi-system trauma. We began providing life-saving medical treatment while carrying out extrication procedures, and then evacuated her in an MDA intensive-care ambulance to the hospital in critical but stable condition."

MDA's Jerusalem district 101 dispatch center received the call at 22:14. Medics and paramedics treated the 35-year-old woman at the scene before evacuating her to Hadassah Har HaTzofim in critical condition with multi-system trauma.

Officers from the Lev HaBirah police station arrived at the scene, closed off the area and directed traffic. Traffic accident investigators from the Jerusalem district arrived to examine the circumstances of the crash.
