The Central Elections Committee released its first turnout update for the Knesset elections, reporting that 16.68 percent of eligible voters cast ballots in the three hours between polling stations opening at 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., representing approximately 1.2 million people.
The figure marks an increase of 0.78 percent compared to the same point in the previous election cycle and is the highest three-hour opening turnout recorded at this hour since the 1981 elections. In the 2022 elections, turnout in the first three hours stood at 15.9 percent, while in 2021 the figure was 14.8 percent.
