Yisrael Beiteinu party chairman Gadi Eisenkot arrived Tuesday to cast his ballot in Herzliya, accompanied by his wife Chana and family members. Before voting, Eisenkot visited the grave of his son Gal z"l, who fell in battle during the war in Gaza.

"We are taking Israel on a new path," Eisenkot said after voting. "We will be worthy. I commit to that."

He also addressed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's campaign, telling his supporters that he "suggests not to get worked up" by the prime minister's statements today. "After he showed a simulation of an atomic bomb in Tel Aviv, I suggest not to panic from his scare tactics," he said. "This is a critical election, we are on the most critical day perhaps since the founding of the state. I call on citizens to go out and vote."
