JUDEA AND SAMARIA

IDF razes terror homes, monuments in Shomron

Eight-village operation nets eight wanted men, seizes weapons and explosives; homes of two bombers who struck security forces leveled in Beita

IDF Demolishes Two Terrorist Homes, Destroys 12 Terror Monuments in 72-Hour Shomron Sweep

IDF and Border Police forces completed a large-scale counterterror operation across eight villages and the city of Shechem (Nablus) over the past 72 hours, demolishing the homes of two terrorists, destroying 12 monuments that incite to terror, arresting eight wanted men, and seizing weapons and explosives.

This morning (Wednesday), forces from the Shomron Brigade and the Yahalom engineering unit operated in the village of Beita and demolished the homes of terrorists Zakariya Muhamad Abd Daoud and Ibrahim Abd al-Karim Abd Daoud. The two carried out three bombing attacks during 2024 and 2025, two of which wounded security personnel. The demolitions continue the policy of bringing terrorists to full account, similar to the recent demolition of the home of the terrorist behind the attack at Havat Gilad.

Arrests and weapons seizures

Alongside the home demolitions, Duvdevan unit fighters operated in the village of Yatzid and arrested, with Shin Bet direction, a terrorist who traded in explosives and combat equipment and worked to transfer them to a terror cell. In the same village, Yamam counterterror unit fighters arrested a wanted man involved in manufacturing explosives and weapons, trading in combat equipment, and planning to attack security forces.

As part of the broader operation, IDF forces searched some 300 sites across the villages, arrested eight wanted men, and seized combat equipment including hunting rifles, a pistol, and ammunition. The comprehensive activity reflects the ongoing effort by security forces to dismantle terror infrastructure and prevent future attacks.

Campaign against incitement to terror

As part of the continuous campaign against incitement to terror, security forces destroyed 12 monuments to terrorists linked to attacks and incitement. The operation was carried out under pre-approved work plans and is part of a broader effort to uproot the culture of terrorist glorification across Judea and Samaria.

The IDF Spokesperson said that "IDF forces will continue to operate with initiative and offensively to thwart terror in the Judea and Samaria Division and will act to bring terrorists and inciters to full account." The latest operation joins a series of offensive activities carried out in recent weeks, including the arrest of dozens of wanted men and the seizure of extensive weapons arsenals across the region.

The extensive operational activity reflects the IDF's offensive policy in Shomron, with emphasis on early disruption of terror infrastructure, arrest of wanted men, and demolition of terrorists' homes. Security forces continue to operate around the clock to ensure the safety of residents and prevent future attacks in the area.
