Becker Awadeh, number four on the Joint List, said Sunday on a Jordanian channel that if Eisenkot wants to form a government, he must retreat from the four principles he presented during the election campaign: recognition of Israel as a Jewish state; commitment to the Declaration of Independence; mandatory service for all; and recognition of Hamas as a terrorist organization.
Political analyst Attila Somfalvi, who previously supported Benny Gantz and has called for forming a unity government, responded: "Becker Awadeh, if Eisenkot retreats even one inch on anything regarding the Jewish state or the war of annihilation against Hamas, I will personally fight for Bibi to be prime minister. Chutzpah."
