MK: Eisenkot campaign sank our party

Vladimir Beliak, ousted from the Knesset after his party failed to cross the threshold, points finger at Yesh Atid leader's last-minute vote-siphoning strategy

As final vote counts continue and tensions rise inside the opposition bloc, MK Vladimir Beliak of the Beyachad party, who serves as deputy chairman of the Central Elections Committee and is now out of the Knesset after his party's poor showing, spoke Monday on Radio 103FM with Barak Seri and Eli Ohana, addressing the 2026 election results and what caused his party's collapse.

Beliak pointed the finger squarely at Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar! party and the campaign it ran in the final days before the vote. "Of course there was a campaign here by the big party, Yesher, and it hurt us," Beliak said on air.

Host Eli Ohana pressed him on whether that factor really carried the weight Beliak was assigning it: "Do you really think it's because of the big party's campaign?"

Beliak answered firmly, explaining that the message came directly from voters he spoke with just before they cast their ballots. "There's no question the big party, that's the easiest campaign in the world," he said. "We saw it on social media and also in conversations we had with voters."

Beliak's remarks reflect the heavy fallout inside the opposition camp following the strategy Eisenkot adopted in the final days of the race. The attempt to pull votes from within the bloc was meant to cement his position as head of the camp and the leading candidate to form the next government, but it has drawn sharp criticism from his potential coalition partners.
