Golan Residents warned: Controlled Explosions Wednesday morning near Ein Zivan

Residents of the Golan Heights and visitors to the area are being asked to take note of traffic changes on Wednesday, November 4. The Golan Regional Council announced that controlled explosions will be carried out at 10:00 a.m. in the Ein Zivan area, as part of ongoing work to clear minefields across the Golan and improve safety for residents and visitors.

Several restrictions will be in place during the operation. Road 98 will be closed to traffic for several minutes before and after the blast, in the section within the safety perimeter. The Golan Trail will be closed to hikers between Ein Zivan and Aloney HaBashan from 06:00 to 11:00. The Ein Mokesh site and its surroundings will be completely closed to the public on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Loud noise expected — no need to enter protected spaces

The regional council clarified that a loud and significant noise will be heard during the blast in the area and in Kibbutz Ein Zivan, and stressed that this is planned activity and there is no need to enter protected spaces. In the event of an actual security incident, a separate alert will be issued.

The Golan Regional Council said it is aware of the temporary inconvenience and thanked the public for its understanding and cooperation in completing the clearance safely. For further information, contact the council hotline at *3254.
