IDF soldiers shot and killed a suspected terrorist near Tulkarm on Monday after identifying what the military described as an immediate threat.

According to the IDF, the suspect accelerated his vehicle toward troops in a manner that posed danger to their lives, prompting the soldiers to open fire. No Israeli injuries were reported in the incident.

The military said the situation is under review as part of standard procedures.

The incident comes amid heightened tensions in Judea and Samaria, where violence has increased in recent months. Both Israelis and Arabs have been targeted in a series of attacks and counter-operations.

Last week, the IDF said it was redeploying some combat units from the northern front, where forces are engaged with Hezbollah, to reinforce operations in Judea and Samaria in an effort to contain the escalating violence.
