GoFundMe moved swiftly to terminate a fundraising campaign for Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old Utah man charged in the assassination of political activist Charlie Kirk. The fundraiser, which appeared on the platform shortly after Robinson's arrest, was shut down within hours for violating the company's terms of service.
The page, which claimed Robinson “did what the Democrats told him to do,” sought to raise money for the suspect's legal defense. GoFundMe's action aligns with its strict policies against campaigns that support individuals accused of violent crimes.
