Iran Army Spokesman: Muslims Should Help Iran Target Israel, US Assets

A senior Iranian military spokesman has called on Muslims across the Middle East to help Tehran identify the locations of U.S. and Israeli military assets, arguing that such information would allow Iran to carry out more precise strikes.

Brig.-Gen. Abolfazl Shekarchi, a spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces, made the appeal in remarks reported Wednesday by Iran’s state-affiliated Defa Press.

“I call on the Muslim people of the region and the countries of the region to show us the hideouts of US and Zionist forces so that they themselves will not be harmed, and so that we can strike them more precisely,” Shekarchi said.

She framed the request as a way to reduce civilian casualties, claiming that U.S. and Israeli forces were placing military assets near populated areas and effectively using civilians as “human shields.”

“In this way, the people of the region will be safe from the crushing blows of our armed forces, and we can also free these people from the United States and Israel,” he said.

Shekarchi urged residents of the region not to shield American forces and said cooperation with Tehran would help improve security.

“We ask the Muslim people of the region not to become shields for the invading US army so that, God willing, we can more effectively, more strongly, and more quickly remove the Americans from the region,” he said.

The Iranian spokesman also accused Washington and Jerusalem of deliberately targeting civilians, claiming that the United States and Israel had carried out attacks in Tehran on consecutive days.

“The criminal US army and the Zionist regime, which are unable to confront our armed forces and every day suffer heavy losses under the powerful strikes of our forces, are, out of desperation and inability to face our military, shedding the blood of ordinary people; our women, innocent children, and men,” Shekarchi said.

He said two incidents in Tehran over the past two days amounted to what he described as “shameless and savage crimes.”

Addressing what he called “American-Zionist enemies,” Shekarchi warned that Iran would retaliate.

“We tell them to expect crushing blows in retaliation for these savage acts,” he said. “Soon we will avenge these actions and deliver very severe strikes against them.”

Shekarchi also accused the United States of hypocrisy, arguing that Washington’s stated support for the Iranian public contradicted its military actions.

“The criminal United States and the lying, delusional Trump launched this aggression under the slogan of supporting the Iranian people,” he said. “Now those same people whom the Americans falsely claimed they wanted to support are being killed and bloodied under American bombing and missile strikes.”
