IRGC Ground Forces Launch Large-Scale Live-Fire Drills | WATCH
The IRGC Ground Forces have concluded the "Combined 1404" exercises along Iran’s southern coast and Persian Gulf islands. Featuring live-fire drills with precision missiles, drones, and special forces, the maneuvers were designed to counter "existing regional threats."

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces have conducted large-scale Combined 1404 (2026) military exercises along Iran’s southern coastlines and strategic Persian Gulf islands.
The drills included controlled live-fire operations with rockets, artillery, ground-to-sea missiles and other new precision systems, as well as the deployment of modern technologies across multiple operational layers.
State media reported that the exercises focused on coastal defense scenarios and tested “new combat tactics” and “modern technology.” Special forces, armored, mechanized, missile, artillery and drone units took part. The drills were led by the IRGC’s Madinah Munawwarah Base.
Brig. Gen. Mohammad Karami, commander of the IRGC Ground Forces, said the exercises were carried out based on “the threats that exist” in the region and that “very good measures have been designed” in sectors including missiles, artillery, drones, special forces, armored vehicles and mechanized units.
Iranian outlets described the drills as having successfully concluded today.
The exercises come amid heightened regional tensions and the ongoing large-scale U.S. military buildup in the Persian Gulf.
