IRGC Claims Strike on F-35 Hangars at Jordan's Al-Azraq Air Base
IRGC claims it struck F-35 hangars at Jordan's Al-Azraq Air Base with long-range ballistic missiles, warning further escalation will target all "American-Zionist" sites in the region.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced Wednesday that it launched long-range solid-fuel ballistic missiles at U.S. military targets in Jordan, claiming to have destroyed four significant targets including F-35 fighter jet hangars at Al-Azraq Air Base.
In an official statement, the IRGC said it also struck the U.S. Army's command and control center in Jordan — a notable escalation, as Iran has typically focused its strikes on Israeli rather than American targets in the region.
The IRGC separately claimed earlier strikes on Israeli territory, saying it targeted Nevatim Air Base in the south and Tel Nof Air Base in central Israel, citing those attacks as retaliation for what it described as Israeli strikes on Iranian radar sites at three separate locations across the Islamic Republic.
In its statement, the IRGC warned that all its operational units are on full readiness for a "broad and deterrent operation on all fronts," and called on commanders to prepare action plans for various enemy scenarios.
The language of the statement, however, signaled a possible close to the current exchange. "The overnight operation was a warning," the IRGC said, adding that "if the crimes are repeated, the responses will be broader and will include all American-Zionist targets in the region."
Israeli defense officials continued to monitor Iranian statements and movements closely.
Meanwhile, reports emerged that back-channel contacts between Washington and Tehran over Iran's nuclear program are continuing behind the scenes despite the military escalation.
