JD Vance: It's Good Joe Kent Resigned
Vice President JD Vance responds to Joe Kent’s exit, praising his character but demanding absolute loyalty to Trump's decisions. "It’s a good thing for you to resign" if you won't implement the President's vision, Vance tells a Michigan crowd.

Vice President JD Vance addressed Joe Kent’s dramatic resignation from the Trump administration on Wednesday, saying he personally likes Kent but that once the president makes a decision, officials must either help carry it out or step aside.
“I know Joe Kent a little bit. I like Joe Kent. You heard the president of the United States say yesterday that he likes Joe Kent too,” Vance told the crowd. “But it’s one thing to have a disagreement of opinion… That said, whatever your view is, when the president of the United States makes a decision, it’s your job to help make that decision as effective and successful as possible.”Vance added: “If you are on the team and you can’t help implement the decisions of his administration… then it’s a good thing for you to resign. And I think that’s exactly right. It’s fine to disagree, but once the president makes a decision, it’s up to everybody who serves in his administration to make it as successful as possible.”
Vance also noted that “nobody likes war” and that Trump is not interested in long-term quagmires. The comments came during a campaign-style event in Michigan, one day after Kent publicly quit as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center over the U.S. strikes on Iran.
