A 25-year-old man who described himself as a “pro-mortalist” has been identified as the attacker behind Saturday’s car bombing outside a Palm Springs fertility clinic that killed him and injured four others.

Guy Edward Bartkus of Twentynine Palms allegedly detonated an explosive device outside the American Reproductive Centers, a clinic specializing in IVF and reproductive services, law enforcement sources told The New York Post.

Bartkus reportedly left behind written and recorded manifestos opposing birth “without consent,” claiming to act in order to spare future suffering, according to KCAL News.

The FBI confirmed Bartkus was the sole fatality. Following the blast, federal agents evacuated his neighborhood and declared his home a "blast zone," fearing more explosives. Tactical teams and bomb squads conducted a controlled detonation during the raid. The FBI has taken over the investigation but has not publicly linked the raid to the clinic attack.
