In a dramatic escalation of the ongoing royal family tensions, Buckingham Palace announced on Thursday that Prince Andrew has been stripped of all remaining royal titles, including his designation as Prince and Duke of York, and evicted from his long-time home at Royal Lodge in Windsor.

The 65-year-old duke, who has faced years of scrutiny over his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and a 2022 civil settlement for sexual assault allegations, will no longer use any royal honors following discussions with King Charles III.

His name has once again been linked to Virginia Giuffre, who recently took her own life. Giuffre, who was trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein at age 17 and allegedly handed over to Prince Andrew, referenced the incidents in her book, reigniting public scrutiny of the long-running case.

A formal notice has been served for him to surrender his lease on the 30-room mansion amid mounting pressure from the King.

This move builds on previous actions in 2022, when Andrew lost his military titles and royal patronages but retained his dukedom and HRH status (though he ceased using the latter publicly).

Palace sources indicate the decision reflects efforts to streamline the monarchy and address ongoing controversies.
