In an unprecedented move, U.S. President Donald Trump has reportedly signed an immediate order for the execution of the individual who shot Charlie Kirk in Utah. According to initial reports from sources within the White House, the order explicitly states there will be no possibility of pardon or appeal.
The move is being described as highly unusual, as capital punishment typically requires a lengthy legal process. White House sources added that the order was signed "due to serious security and public considerations," and that it represents a "final decision by the President, not subject to appeal or change."
UPDATE: According to BBC, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins has posted on social media that Charlie Kirk is "still with us".
"PLEASE KEEP PRAYING. Hearing he is in critical condition but still with us," she posted on X.
While Glenn Beck days that Kirk is now stable, chief marketing officer Marina Minas told the BBC's US partner CBS News that "he was shot in the neck. He’s at the hospital. It doesn’t look good."
According to Belaaz, a Trump official currently at the hospital noted that Secret Service is present at the hospital. The official added, “He lost a lot of blood, I don’t know how he can survive this…”
A spokesman for the University of Utah claims that Kirk has been taken to the operating room for emergency surgery and is being secured by private security.
Hundreds of thousands of people are praying for Charlie this evening.
