President Donald Trump has dramatically escalated his rhetoric against the Iranian regime, warning that the country will be wiped off the face of the earth if it attacks American ships. Speaking with Fox News on Monday evening, the President addressed the intensifying war in the Persian Gulf and the commencement of Project Freedom, a massive U.S. operation designed to break the Iranian maritime blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Despite the fearsome threat of total destruction, Trump noted a strange contradiction in the ongoing diplomatic efforts, claiming that the Iranians are actually showing more flexibility in negotiations than they have in the past.

The President’s ultimatum comes as the U.S. Navy begins active escort missions for commercial vessels through the world's most dangerous chokepoint. "Iran will be wiped off the face of the earth if it attacks American ships accompanying vessels in the Strait of Hormuz," Trump declared, signaling that the United States is prepared to use its full military might to ensure the success of the new mission. This stance reflects a shift toward total intolerance for Iranian interference, as the Pentagon moves thousands of troops and multiple guided-missile destroyers into the region to enforce the opening of the ports.

While the threat of annihilation looms, the U.S. military is already engaged in active combat. Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of U.S. Central Command, confirmed that American forces have already destroyed six Iranian attack boats that attempted to harass commercial shipping. According to Cooper, the U.S. is currently conducting a dual-pronged operation: maintaining a blockade on Iranian ports while simultaneously forcing open the Strait of Hormuz. "Every Iranian attempt to damage ships is being repelled by us," Cooper stated, adding that the U.S. will respond to further Iranian aggression strictly according to President Trump's directives. The situation remains a powder keg, with the world watching to see if Tehran will test Trump’s vow of total erasure.
