“Israel Will Finish The Job”

“Full Backing”: Trump Vows Unrestricted Israeli Action If Hostages Aren't Released in 72 Hours

Prime Minister Netanyahu supports Trump’s peace plan, setting a 72-hour deadline for Hamas to release all hostages for a war end, or Israel will complete the destruction of the group alone with full US support.

In a momentous announcement at the White House, President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu presented a unified front, confirming Israel’s agreement to the ambitious "Eternal Peace" framework for ending the Gaza war. The leaders put the onus on Hamas to accept the terms, which promise a full hostage release within 72 hours and a complete demilitarization of the territory.

President Trump lauded Netanyahu as a warrior” but stressed that the Israeli public now demands both peace and the return of hostages. The President took a moment to criticize European allies for “foolishly” recognizing a Palestinian state “out of fatigue,” insisting that his commitment to peace is unmatched, adding, “Bibi too.” He also confirmed his continued leadership in the peace process, stating, “My plan calls for the creation of a new international oversight body. The board of peace… it will be headed by a gentleman known as President Donald J. Trump… everybody wants to be on it now.”

Israel’s Conditional Agreement

Prime Minister Netanyahu affirmed his full support for the American plan, declaring, “I support Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza. It achieves Israel's war aims.” He acknowledged the immense sacrifice that led to this diplomatic turning point, stating, “We would not have achieved this turning point without the courage and sacrifice of our incredibly brave soldiers. They fight like lions to defend the people of Israel, and they serve on the front line in the war between civilization and barbarism.”

Netanyahu outlined the immediate next steps should the framework be accepted by the militant group: “If Hamas agrees to your plan Mr. President, the first step will be a modest withdrawal, followed by the release of all our hostages within 72 hours.” Following the hostage release, the focus shifts to demilitarization: “The next step will be the establishment of an international body charged with fully disarm Hamas and demilitarize Gaza.” He clarified Israel’s long-term security posture: “Now if this international body succeeds, we will have permanently ended the war. Israel will conduct further withdrawals linked to the extent of disarmament and demilitarization but will remain in the security perimeter for the foreseeable future.”

The Final Warning to Hamas

The joint appearance was defined by a clear ultimatum to Hamas. Both leaders confirmed Israel’s right to resume military action with full US support if the peace is derailed.

President Trump reiterated his pledge: “If Hamas rejects the deal, which is always possible... as you know, Bibi, you'd have our full backing to do what you would have to do.” He added a more direct assurance: "Israel would have my full backing to finish the job of destroying the threat of Hamas, but I hope that we're gonna have a deal for peace."

Netanyahu echoed this resolve, stating that a refusal would leave Israel with no choice but to act unilaterally: “But if Hamas rejects your plan Mr. President, Israel will finish the job by itself. This can be done the easy way, or it can be done the hard way.” He concluded by thanking the President and invoking a biblical message about regional relationships: “Today we are taking a critical step to end the war in Gaza, and also for peace in the Middle East and beyond - other Muslim countries… It’s also in the Bible: 'those who will bless you will be blessed, and those who will curse you will be cursed.'”
