President Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed deep frustration with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in private conversations and recent calls, describing him as a challenging partner amid ongoing diplomacy with Iran and conflicts in Lebanon.

According to a detailed Wall Street Journal report published today, Trump has told advisers that “no one can handle Netanyahu” and that the Israeli leader “wants to bomb everyone.” In one recent phone call regarding Israeli actions in Lebanon, Trump reportedly asked Netanyahu, “Why are you blowing up buildings?” and told him to “stop blowing up buildings.” In another call this month, Trump called Netanyahu “f—ing crazy” and reminded him that he would be “in prison without his support.”

The WSJ notes that Trump has publicly maintained a more positive tone at times, describing their relationship as symbiotic and saying, “Bibi is a difficult person, but so am I.” However, the newspaper highlights growing strain over the U.S.-Iran deal and Israeli military operations, with Trump complaining that Netanyahu’s actions risk derailing broader diplomatic efforts and harming the U.S. economy.

This friction comes as the two leaders, who once coordinated closely on strikes against Iran, now clash over how to wind down the conflict. Israeli officials remain skeptical of the emerging U.S.-Iran agreement, fearing it could allow Tehran to rebuild its proxies.
