A leak of hazardous materials from a truck caused a cloud over the settlements in Nahal Sorek. The rescue services require the residents of Yad Binyamin to shut themselves in their houses. Highway 7 is closed to traffic in both directions, near the exit to Highway 6

A leak of hazardous materials from a truck in the Nahal Sorek area prompted the rescue services to announce, that the residents of Yad Binyamin, must shut themselves in their homes.

In the afternoon, Highway 7 is closed to traffic in the Nahal Sorek area. The fire and rescue services stated: "Due to the leakage of a dangerous substance from a truck on Route 7, 8 teams from the Rehovot station with the assistance of other districts, are now working on the leak near the exit to Route 6.

"As a result of the leak, there is now a cloud that reaches as far as the settlement of Yad Binyamin. The residents of Yad Binyamin have been instructed to shut themselves in their houses."

The police informed us that Highway 7 is closed to traffic in both directions.
