The Shocking Cost of Epic Fury's First Week

As "Operation Epic Fury" intensifies, new reports reveal the astronomical cost of the first six days of combat. With over 5,500 targets struck, the U.S. is burning through billions in munitions to dismantle the Iranian regime's infrastructure.

The second week of the Second Iranian War has begun with a sobering look at the ledger. In a closed-door briefing on Capitol Hill, U.S. officials informed lawmakers that the first six days of the operation have already cost taxpayers more than $11.3 billion.

According to reports from the New York Times, this figure is a "conservative floor," as it doesn't yet account for long-term logistics, wear-and-tear on high-tech assets, or the full cost of secondary regional deployments.

The Military Scale: By the Numbers

The sheer volume of firepower being deployed is unprecedented. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that the military used $5.6 billion worth of munitions in the first 48 hours alone.

"Hitting Harder Every Day"

Admiral Brad Cooper, commander of CENTCOM, stated that the U.S. is not merely responding to threats but systematically erasing them. "We are striking not just the launchers, but the production and development complexes," Cooper noted.

Just yesterday, U.S. stealth bombers targeted a massive Iranian missile production facility to "remove future threats." However, the Iranian regime continues to strike back, hitting U.S. assets in the Gulf and reportedly damaging a THAAD air defense battery in the UAE.

Warning to Civilians: Ports Are Now Targets

In a significant escalation of the rules of engagement, CENTCOM issued a direct warning to Iranian citizens: Stay away from all ports. > "The Iranian regime is using civilian ports along the Strait of Hormuz for military operations. These facilities lose their protected status under international law once they are used for war. They are now legitimate military targets."

The Arsenal of Democracy

The operation involves a massive array of advanced U.S. weaponry, showcasing the full weight of American air and sea power:

While the U.S. has significantly degraded Iran's launch capabilities, Tehran remains defiant. The Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) reports that Iranian counter-attacks have been surprisingly precise, targeting 13 separate U.S. bases.
