President Trump delivered a series of high-stakes statements Tuesday, suggesting that the U.S.-led military campaign against the Iranian regime is moving significantly faster than anticipated. As reports of heavy air traffic flood in from Lebanon and casualties rise in Tehran, the President hinted at a post-war vision for a "new Iran."

“The Mission is Nearly Complete”

Speaking on the progress of military operations, Trump noted that the primary goals, neutralizing Iran’s nuclear ambitions and missile capabilities, are close to being met.

  • Timeline: "We are way ahead of schedule. We thought it would take a month," Trump stated, adding that while the operation might not end this week, it will conclude "very soon."
  • The Nuclear Threat: Trump emphasized that the strikes were a preemptive necessity. "If we hadn't attacked when we did, they would have attacked us."
  • The Energy Warning: In a direct threat to the regime’s remaining infrastructure, Trump warned that any attempt to hold the world's oil supply hostage would result in the total destruction of Iran’s power grid. "It’s easy to hit and very hard to rebuild."

The "Venezuela Formula" and a New Leader

Perhaps the most striking part of the President’s comments involved the future of Iranian governance. While refusing to confirm if Mojtaba Khamenei, son of the Supreme Leader, is a target, Trump expressed a preference for a leader emerging from within the country.

Referring to a "formula that works" (citing Venezuela), Trump distanced himself from the idea of simply reinstating the Pahlavi monarchy, noting that the Shah's son has been out of the country for too long. "I love the idea of a new leader coming from within Iran," Trump said.

Chaos on the Ground: Tehran to Lebanon

As the President spoke, the kinetic reality on the ground remained intense:

  • Tehran Under Fire: Reports indicate a high number of casualties following overnight strikes in the Iranian capital.
  • The Missing Successor: Speculation is mounting regarding the whereabouts of Mojtaba Khamenei. Israeli assessments suggest he may have been with his father at a strike site; he has not been seen since the operation began.
  • Prison Break in Karaj: A strike near the Qarchak (Kachoui) prison reportedly allowed several political detainees and protesters to escape.
  • Regional Flaring: Heavy air activity continues over Lebanon, with strikes reported in Al-Khiam and the West Beqaa. Meanwhile, U.S. forces in Erbil, Iraq, reported several successful interceptions over their base.

Trump concluded by revealing he has held discussions with Vladimir Putin, who reportedly "wants to help" regarding the Iran issue. The President also signaled that oil sanctions on several countries may soon be lifted as the regional landscape shifts.
