Tech salaries soar
Israeli high-tech pay soars to new heights with bonus boosts
Average salaries hit NIS 36.7K in March, led by pharma sector’s sharp climb

Salaries in Israel’s high-tech sector soared to an all-time high in March 2025, reaching an average of NIS 36,731 (roughly $10,650), marking a 9% rise from February, according to data released Thursday by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).
The surge helped push the average national salary that month to a record NIS 14,672 ($4,255), a figure previously reported in May. However, a preliminary CBS estimate now shows a sharp 5.2% drop in April’s national average salary to NIS 13,907 ($4,033), suggesting that March’s figures may have been inflated by seasonal bonuses.
The March high-tech salary peak surpassed the previous record set in March 2024, when sector wages averaged NIS 35,923 ($10,418). CBS officials anticipate that April’s upcoming tech salary report will show a similar decline, likely contributing to the nationwide dip.
Among high-tech fields, pharmaceutical manufacturing unexpectedly topped the earnings list, with average wages hitting NIS 42,400 ($12,296). Software developers followed with NIS 39,100 ($11,339), while research and development roles ranked third.
