A viral video captured the moment a handcuffed woman wriggled out of the partially open rear window of a Muskegon Heights Police cruiser and sprinted away on foot Saturday, March 28, 2026, while officers appeared unaware and distracted nearby.
The dramatic escape was filmed live on a Facebook stream by local resident Robert Williams of “The Block Paper Weekly.” In the footage, the blonde woman , dressed in all-black clothing, is seen peering out the half-lowered window, scanning for officers. She then lunged headfirst through the opening, swung her legs out with her hands cuffed behind her back, landed on the pavement, and took off running down the street.
Officers had just placed her in the back of the patrol vehicle after an arrest. At the time of the escape, they were focused on searching a white pickup truck a short distance away and did not immediately notice she was gone. Bystanders on the livestream can be heard reacting in disbelief as the woman vanished around the corner.
