A Scottish content creator known online as Morgan has gone viral after posting a spirited, note perfect cover of the Miami Boys Choir, the beloved Orthodox pop group whose 2007 performance of Yerushalayim first captured the internet's heart back in 2022 and has never really let go.

In her Instagram reel, Morgan belts out the choir's Hebrew lyrics with what fans are calling remarkably accurate pronunciation, all delivered with an infectious, distinctly Scottish energy that has charmed viewers well beyond the song's original Orthodox Jewish audience.

The clip quickly spread across TikTok and Instagram, racking up shares and comments from people delighted to see the Miami Boys Choir's music finding new life through such an unexpected messenger.

The Miami Boys Choir, founded in Miami Beach in 1977 by composer and choir director Yerachmiel Begun before relocating to New York, has become an unlikely recurring viral phenomenon since a vintage 2007 performance of Yerushalayim, a musical setting of Psalm 125, first broke out of the Orthodox Jewish world and racked up millions of views across platforms. The song's soaring melody and the passionate, all boy harmonies have continued to draw new generations of fans who often have no religious connection to the material at all, simply falling for the music on its own terms.

Morgan's cover fits neatly into that ongoing tradition, offering yet another example of how the choir's decades old recordings keep finding fresh audiences, this time channeled through a Scottish voice bringing her own joyful spin to a Hebrew classic written for the choir generations before her.

Back in September 2022, a resurfaced 2007 clip of four Miami Boys Choir soloists performing "Yerushalayim" broke out of the Orthodox Jewish world entirely and went massively viral, racking up millions of views across TikTok, with non-Jewish users worldwide learning to sing along phonetically, dueting the clip, and picking favorite soloists the way K-pop fans do with idol groups.

CNN, Time, NBC, and the Forward all covered it as a genuine cultural moment, and the choir's own soloists (several of whom have since become doctors, lawyers, and even a gastroenterology resident) were tracked down by reporters expressing bewilderment at their sudden fame.
