Hatered of Law

Why the World Hates the Jew

Exploring the tragic psychology of those who seek to destroy the Law by destroying the people who carried it to humanity

Why the World Hates the Jew

Antisemitism is essentially the functional "legality" of the lawless.

It is the framework adopted by those who lack their own divine or transcendent laws. These nations and individuals owe their very concept of God to the Jewish people. Yet out of a mixture of historical debt and profound ignorance they have transformed Jewish existence into the only explanatory factor they can grasp to justify a moral reality they never truly consented to.

Because these forces lack a universal or humanistic law of their own they view the Jewish presence as the root of their entrapment in a moral world they find stifling.

The Accusation of the Hypnotic Word

In the mind of the antisemite the Jewish people have "hypnotized" the world. They believe the Jew created a law in his own image rather than in the image of the absolute God in whose name he spoke. To them the Jew is guilty of two things:

Distancing humanity from the "true" essence of the divine.

Forcing the world to use the "Word" as the ultimate barometer of existence.

To the hater this barometer is seen as a distorted tool of control. They resent that their own existence is measured by a standard they did not create and cannot master.

At its core this is a deep seated hatred of the Law itself. This explains why almost every major revolution or radical social upheaval begins with the persecution of the Jews. There is a pervasive belief that by uprooting the "Jewish myth" one can finally uproot the authority of the Law.

Before any physical war is waged against the Jewish people an ideological or religious justification is always established. The Jew is treated as a "precedent" for a larger conflict. For the antisemite the resistance to the Jew is framed as a genuine moral imperative, a supposed act of "ultimate moral correction."

Ultimately this is a limited and heartbreaking form of idolatry. It is a case of tragic intellectual envy hidden behind a reactive sense of inferiority. The antisemite is trapped in a cycle they cannot fix because they define their morality solely in opposition to the Jewish source.

They seek to destroy the Law because they cannot live up to it and they seek to destroy the Jew because he is the living reminder of that failure. It is a spiritual disease where the patient attempts to cure himself by killing the doctor who holds the mirror to his soul.
