Yishai Cohen

Yishai Cohen is a prominent Haredi journalist and the political editor of "Kikar HaShabat", Israel’s leading Haredi news site. Since 2022, he has served as a regular panelist on Channel 12's prime-time current affairs programs, recognized for his sharp political commentary—especially on Haredi and Israeli politics. Cohen began his media career at age 18 and joined Kikar HaShabat in 2011. He later became the site's political editor and launched the weekly video program Sogrim Shavua, where he interviews top political and religious figures. Cohen was named "Journalist of the Year" by "Makor Rishon" in 2013 and ranked among "The Marker"’s “100 Most Influential” in Israel in 2021, as well as among the top 25 figures in Haredi media by "Haredim10". He lives in the Pisgat Ze’ev neighborhood of Jerusalem with his wife Sarah Hodaya Levy and their four children.
