FOX Entertainment Studios and Access Entertainment have joined Avi Nesher’s new Hebrew-language film, Our Loves, in an unusual international move for an Israeli production at a time of cultural pressure and boycott campaigns against Israel.

The two international companies will serve as co-producers on the film alongside Israel’s United King Films and SIPUR. Access Entertainment is known, among other projects, for backing the Oscar-winning film The Zone of Interest.

The deal is considered unusual because the Hollywood studios are joining the Israeli film after it has already been shot and edited to the rough-cut stage. The move gives the film a new international framework and could significantly expand its global exposure.

Our Loves is Nesher’s 21st film and is expected to reach theaters in September. Inspired by real events, the film follows seven characters trapped in complicated relationships. The characters share one painful belief: that October 6 was the day love died. After the disaster that followed, each of them is forced to reexamine life, attachment and survival.

The cast includes several leading Israeli actors, among them Shalom Michaelshvili, Maggie Azarzar, Yaniv Biton and Noa Cohen.

Fernando Szew, president of FOX Studios, and Danny Cohen, president of Access Entertainment, said they saw in the film a powerful, human and universal story that deserved to reach audiences around the world.

Producer Moshe Edri called the partnership a significant achievement, saying it proves that even during a difficult period, Israeli stories still have the power to cross borders.
