Over a month ago, Israeli police received a complaint from a 92-year-old woman living in a community in the Emek Yizrael Regional Council in northern Israel. She had discovered that thousands of shekels had been withdrawn from her bank account without her knowledge.
According to the woman's initial investigation into the matter, she realized that the suspects had visited her home the previous evening, claiming to be representatives of a telecommunications company. In addition to the unauthorized withdrawals from her account, other property was stolen from her residence.
Following the complaint, the Northern District Police launched an investigation and collected various pieces of evidence. This past Sunday, three suspects were arrested, men aged 19 to 21, all residents of Haifa and the Krayot area.
Based on the investigation's findings, the suspects were brought yesterday to a remand hearing at the Magistrate's Court in Nof HaGalil-Nazareth, which extended their detention until August 13.
