What began as a routine noise complaint in a Tiberias apartment building ended in serious violence, with one resident hospitalized in serious condition and another facing severe criminal charges.
The incident unfolded when a resident played loud music from his apartment, disturbing neighbors in the building. One neighbor approached the man's apartment and asked him to turn down the volume. The simple request was not well received, and the two men engaged in a heated verbal argument. Later that same day, when the two encountered each other again near the building's entrance, tensions quickly escalated to physical violence. The accused headbutted his neighbor in the face, then pulled out a knife and stabbed him multiple times in the abdomen and leg.
When emergency dispatchers received reports of a stabbing, police and medical teams rushed to the scene. The victim was evacuated in serious condition according to medical personnel, while the attacker fled in an attempt to evade authorities. Investigators from the Northern District immediately launched extensive search operations to locate the suspect, leading to his arrest approximately two days later.
The suspect's detention was extended repeatedly by the court to allow investigators to complete their work and build the evidentiary case against him.
