The Amshinov chassidus is mourning the sudden passing of Chaya Leah Milikowsky a"h, wife of Rav Moshe Milikowsky, the son and right hand of the Amshinover Rebbe. She was 34 and leaves behind eight young children. Hundreds of chassidim accompanied her to kevurah early Tuesday morning.

She was the daughter of Rav Yisrael Ben Shem and the granddaughter of Rav Pinchas Rozental. She married Rav Moshe in 2012 and devoted herself to her home and to supporting her husband in his avodas hakodesh.

Rav Moshe serves his father, the Rebbe, for most of the day and is involved in communal needs. His wife managed their household in Beitar Illit and also worked as a teacher and mechaneches.

In recent years, she battled a serious illness. At the Amshinover Rebbe’s instruction, her condition was kept private while the family increased their tefillos. On Monday evening, she collapsed at home. Paramedics tried to save her but were forced to pronounce her passing.

The levayah began at 2:00 a.m. at the Amshinov beis medrash on Darchei Ish Street in Beitar Illit, continued to the Rebbe’s main beis medrash in Yerushalayim’s Bayit Vegan neighborhood, and ended at Har Hamenuchos, where she was laid to rest.
