Shapiro announced the birth on X, writing that the family was giving "immeasurable thanks to God" for baby number five. Shapiro, 42, and Mor Shapiro, an Israeli-born family medicine physician, married in a traditional Jewish ceremony in Acre in 2008. They welcomed their first child, a daughter, in 2014, followed by a son two years later, and two more children in the years since without significant public announcement. Their fourth child, also a son, arrived in 2023, when Shapiro described the newborn as "a big handsome boy" and thanked the medical staff and his wife.
In a lighter follow-up post Sunday, Shapiro turned the milestone into a good-natured plea to Elon Musk, asking whether Tesla might consider building a seven or eight-seat SUV or minivan for families like his own, writing that he was "doing our best to repopulate the West" and that Tesla's current lineup does not comfortably fit two parents and five children.
Shapiro, who co-founded The Daily Wire in 2015 and hosts The Ben Shapiro Show, has spoken frequently about family and faith as central to his worldview, and the new arrival drew a wave of congratulations online alongside renewed interest in a family life he has otherwise worked hard to keep out of the spotlight.
