Terrifying video captures father’s quick action to rescue son from would-be abductor.
A masked man attempted to kidnap an Orthodox Jewish boy who was walking with his father in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, on Saturday afternoon, according to the local Shomrim, a Jewish security patrol.
The incident took place around 3:30 p.m. near Kingston Avenue and Lefferts Avenue and was captured on CCTV. In the footage, the masked man is seen trying to grab the child and carry him off, but the father quickly intervenes, pulling his son back and pushing the man away.
The Crown Heights Shomrim described the incident as “deeply concerning” and reported that, with the assistance of the NYPD’s 71st Precinct, they had identified and arrested the suspect.
