Singer Yonatan Razel, who suffered a stroke several weeks ago and was hospitalized in serious condition, celebrated a moving milestone Monday night when he attended the engagement of his daughter Rivky to Avraham Ben David in Givat Zeev, an appearance those present described as nothing short of a walking miracle.
Razel had been hospitalized for several weeks after suffering a brain hemorrhage. He was released roughly a week and a half ago from Shaare Zedek Medical Center, returning home in good condition. The hospital said at the time of his release that thanks to the rapid and professional diagnosis and treatment he received immediately upon arrival, along with comprehensive care throughout his hospitalization, he returned to normal, full functioning. The medical center added that it blessed Yonatan and his family on their release and wished him complete health along with continued creativity and contribution to the world of culture.
Monday's engagement event was an especially emotional one for the family and the wider community that had followed Razel's recovery closely. Those who gathered to celebrate with him described his presence at the simcha, just weeks after his hospitalization, as a walking miracle.
His family shared an emotional statement following the celebration, expressing deep gratitude to God for the open miracles bestowed upon them. They also thanked the people of Israel for their prayers and concern for Yonatan's wellbeing, and offered special thanks to the entire staff at Shaare Zedek Medical Center, including the doctors and nurses, for their devoted care.
