A Request From the Ground: Show Your Solidarity with Sydney
Jews around the world are looking to positive ways to respond to yesterday's massacre. This request from shlichim in Sydney offers an opportunity to show the community you stand with them.

As Jewish communities around the world reel from the deadly antisemitic attack at a Hanukkah celebration in Sydney, many are searching for concrete ways to show solidarity beyond statements and condemnations. The sense of shock has been accompanied by a familiar instinct to stand together, publicly and visibly, at a moment of grief and vulnerability.
In that spirit, shlichim in Sydney have issued a simple, community-driven request aimed at reinforcing the bonds between Jewish communities worldwide. The initiative seeks to turn global support into a shared visual message of unity and mutual responsibility during an exceptionally painful time.
The request from Sydney’s shlichim is below.
We, the shlichim of Sydney, are reaching out to you and asking for your help.
We would be grateful if you could take a photo of yourselves holding a sign that says:
“We stand with the Sydney community”
and underneath, please add: the name of your community / city / country.
These photos would mean a great deal to us. We would like to create a video made up of many photos of people from around the world standing alongside the Sydney community during this challenging and complex time, and to feel the embrace and mutual responsibility of the entire Jewish people.
