Ethiopian Airlines cargo flight denied entry to Israeli airspace over Indonesian crew member

An Ethiopian Airlines cargo flight from Addis Ababa to Ben Gurion Airport was turned back after Israeli authorities discovered an Indonesian citizen among the crew. The crew list reached Israeli systems only after the aircraft had taken off early in the morning. Upon identifying the Indonesian national, authorities ordered the plane to turn around. Israel and Indonesia maintain no diplomatic relations.
