Nisan Zeevi, a Knesset candidate on the Beyachad list headed by Naftali Bennett claims he is revealing the identity of the suspicious aircraft filmed over northern Israel and says it was a new and classified Hezbollah UAV.
The Beyachad candidate issued a sharp statement warning at the outset that the information he was publishing may include security violations.
"I am taking a risk here, but our lives are more important than any censorship order and than Netanyahu preferring his political interest over our security interest," Zeevi wrote.
"For two days now the government of Israel has been hiding the fact that a new type of Hezbollah UAV penetrated into Israel, reached as far as Haifa, photographed strategic sites and returned via the sea to Lebanon. Without interception, without sirens. For two days this has been hidden from the public, just as the Hezbollah tent on Israeli territory was hidden from the public back then," he said.
Zeevi, a resident of the northern confrontation line, described the situation this way: "We residents of the north understand that we were given a 'second chance' after October 7th and we do not intend to give it up. We will fight to expose the truth to ensure we are not slaughtered like they were slaughtered in the south. The attempts to conceal this incident by the prime minister, who operates the censorship, show how much his political interest overrides the national interest of the State of Israel."
"For 48 hours the residents of the north have been in uncertainty. On the one hand, standby squads are mobilized and army forces are deployed in the field, and on the other hand they insist on not telling us why and what for. So this is the reason. The government of Israel must give us an accounting immediately," hesaid.
