Hamas denies Israeli media report of threat to launch October 7-style attack

Hamas has rejected a report published in Yedioth Ahronoth claiming the group threatened to carry out an attack similar to the October 7 assault. Spokesperson Hazem Qassem stated: "We deny the report in the newspaper 'Yedioth Ahronoth,' according to which Hamas conveyed, via a UN official, a threat to carry out an attack similar to the October 7 attack." He emphasized Hamas's commitment to the ceasefire agreement and called on mediators to address what he described as Israeli violations. Qassem also warned against adopting Israeli claims in the context of the election campaign.
