IDF to Conduct Airstrikes in South Lebanon

Military spokesman alerts residents in northern Israel to expect loud explosions from planned Air Force operations along the Lebanese border in coming hours

Brigadier General Effi Defrin

The Israel Defense Forces spokesman issued an alert Sunday evening to residents along the northern border and the Galilee Panhandle, announcing that the Air Force will carry out a series of planned strikes in southern Lebanese territory within the next hour. According to the military's statement, the extensive operational activity in the northern sector is expected to produce loud explosion sounds across wide areas of northern Israel, including the Hula Valley, the Ramim Ridge, and possibly communities in the northern Golan Heights.

Military officials emphasized that the sounds are part of scheduled operations by Israeli forces and do not indicate any security incident occurring within Israeli territory. The IDF sought to reassure the public that there is no cause for alarm. Residents have been asked to continue following instructions from the Home Front Command and local authorities.
