IDF Chief of Staff orders leave ban, troop reinforcements ahead of elections

The IDF Chief of Staff has ordered multiple measures to increase military readiness ahead of upcoming elections. Starting Thursday, a leave ban will be imposed across IDF units based on ongoing situational assessments. Senior commanders will increase their presence in command centers and headquarters to ensure operational readiness. Central Command will be reinforced with forces from the Paratroopers Brigade headquarters, which will operate as a mission-oriented headquarters between Samaria and Binyamin to strengthen ground presence. Additional forces will be allocated to other sectors—air, sea, and land—as operationally required.
