Iran's "Khatam al-Anbiya" military headquarters issued a stark warning Sunday, claiming it has received intelligence that the United States is preparing to launch another round of strikes against the Islamic Republic with backing from regional states. The military command threatened that any attack would trigger an Iranian response "without any limitations" targeting American bases and objectives throughout the region, as well as allied countries.
"According to the intelligence in our possession, the United States has once again decided, with a green light from several regional countries, to renew operations against the Islamic Republic of Iran," the statement claimed. "The decision was made during a joint meeting in one of the European countries."
"We warn that if the United States carries out an act of aggression against Iran, all its bases in the region and all its interests there will be subject to sustained, effective and painful attacks, without any limitation or reservation," the Iranian military threatened. The statement went further, cautioning regional states: "We also warn that if the countries of the region continue their double-faced policy toward Iran and stand alongside the Great Satan's aggression against mighty Iran, they will all be considered partners in these acts of aggression. In such a case, they can no longer expect Iran's armed forces to exercise restraint."
