Journalist offered $30,000 to torch Polish drone factory supplying Ukraine
A Vot Tak reporter posing as a Belarusian job seeker on Telegram was recruited to burn down a drone factory in Gliwice, southern Poland, for $30,000. The recruiter, using the alias "Joker," initially offered payment to torch vehicles with Ukrainian license plates before proposing the factory arson. Vot Tak traced the account to a Russian phone number registered in the Saratov region. The targeted facility belongs to Flytronic, which manufactures FlyEye reconnaissance drones used by Ukrainian forces. Flytronic's parent company is WB Group, Poland's largest privately owned defense manufacturer. Polish prosecutors have opened an investigation into suspected recruitment for sabotage on behalf of a foreign intelligence service, with the Internal Security Agency handling the case.
